1998 was a year of transition for the PST. Those produced early in the year had the same tools as the 1997 version, with L-shaped screwdrivers. Tools produced mid-year had one screwdriver switched to a newer, tapered shape, while those produced late in the year had both L-shaped screwdrivers replaced with tapered versions. This configuration then continued unchanged into 1999.
Size & Weight: The Leatherman 1998 PST tool is 101mm (4") long, 26.5mm (1") wide, and 12.6mm (1/2") thick. It weighs about 146 grams (5.2 oz).
Colors: The 1998 PST comes in
stainless steel, and sometimes in black oxide finish.
