By 1992, the PST had settled down with a saber-point blade, right-hand can opener, metric ruler and newer-style awl. It still kept the original L-shaped screwdrivers. Starting in late 1992, a four-digit month/year date was stamped on the interior of the handles (the earliest date we've seen is November 1992, but they may have started a bit earlier). The 25-year guarantee offered by Leatherman Tools expired in 2017 for these earliest versions of the PST. It is possible they will honor it anyhow, for such venerable tools!
