Our B grade used Leatherman multitools and knives are good tools that will give you many years of service, but they have cosmetic flaws that knock them out of the higher A grades.
A typical B blade may have been sharpened a few times, but it is still fully functional.
We'll accept broken tips in this grade, but only if there is a maximum of 1/4" / 6mm missing.
B grade Leatherman tools will usually show wear on the screwdrivers and other tools. It may consist of scratching and rounding of edges, or twisting on the screwdrivers (especially the smallest one). The damage will not affect tool performance.
Most B grade pliers show moderate wear on the pliers teeth.
Grade B Leatherman blades and tools move freely, but they may have some wobble or friction. Most Leatherman tools do not snap, but those that do still operate correctly.
Grade B Leatherman tools may show scratching and wear on the body, whether it is stainless steel, aluminum alox, or some other material. For the aluminum body Leatherman tools (Juice and Squirt), at least 80% of the body will still have its original finish. There may be scratches, dents, and/or finish that is worn off (usually at the very edges).
