The Victorinox Standard Swiss Army knife is variation of the Weekender and Spartan knives--
it's very similar to the modern Spartan knife, but it has no toothpick,
tweezer or key ring.
The Standard knife is a retired, vintage model that is
relatively uncommon, so it sells at a premium price. If you
just want a practical Swiss Army knife with similar features,
choose the Spartan or Weekender instead.
Standard pocket knives come in two different variations-- the basic version
has a Swiss logo made from inlaid metal, while the economy version
has a printed logo.
NOTE-- Sometimes a Weekender knive
will be missing its key ring so it looks almost like a Standard,
but it will still have the attachment stub on the end of the knife,
with a hole for a key ring. |
