The original version of the Spartan Swiss Army knife was manufactured by Victorinox from approximately 1973 until 1986. This knife includes a couple of "vintage" features-- a grooved corkscrew, and an awl without the sewing eye found on modern Swiss Army knives.

This variation of the Spartan knife is moderately rare, and it sells at a premium price for collectors. If you just want a practical pocket knife with similar tools, get a modern Spartan instead.
