The matte version of the Victorinox Spartan Swiss Army Knife is similar to the modern Spartan pocket knife, but it has a matte finish, and a printed insignia rather than a metal inlay. These knives were originally introduced as a slightly cheaper economy model, although they still have the same top-quality blades and implements as the regular Swiss Army knives.

This model is now retired. We sell it at a very slight premium over the standard Spartan, but it's still reasonable enough that you can carry it in your pocket (or start a collection very inexpensively with it).
