Victorinox Imitation Mother of Pearl

The Victorinox Imitation Mother of Pearl Classic Swiss Army knife is a moderately "luxury" version of the Classic knife that comes with imitation mother of pearl handles. These knives are very attractive-- they often have better iridescence than the natural pearl handles, and they vary in quality less than the natural pearl-handle knives. However they aren't made from real nacre (mother of pearl) and don't command such a premium price.

Nearly all of the imitation pearl knives include an inlaid name or logo for some company or another. Most are Bijou knives without a key ring, though we sometimes get one that's a Classic (with key ring) instead.

Victorinox Imitation Mother of Pearl knives are no longer in production. They are collector's items that are in high demand and short supply. They were Victorinox model #0.6201.68 (or model #802 in the US). They are still extremely attractive knives, even if they aren't the real thing.

HINT-- How do you tell imitation pearl from real? Rub it gently against your teeth! The imitation pearl will feel smooth, while natural pearl will feel "gritty" because of the tiny crystals in the nacre.

Victorinox Imitation Mother of Pearl Classic knives are small Swiss Army knives (2 1/4" / 58mm). They contain the following tools:
