Victorinox Duchess Alox Knife

The Victorinox Duchess Swiss Army knife is a rare, retired version of the Classic knive that comes in a "dogbone" body.

This is definitely a very scarce collector's item that is in extremely high demand, because of its unusual shape and limited production. If you just want a practical knife with a stainless steel body and similar tools, get a Broker knife instead.

So far we have seen the Duchess knives in both alox and stainless steel versions.

Duchess Stainless Steel knives are small Swiss Army knives (2 1/4" / 58mm). They contain the following tools:

Some specific vintage examples of the Duchess stainless steel knife:

Some similar Victorinox Swiss Army knives:

  • Broker-- same tools in a standard stainless body
  • Classic-- same tools, plastic scales
  • Duchess Alox-- same tools and "dogbone" body shape, aluminum alox shells (retired & rare)
  • Duchess Two Blade-- no scissors, aluminum alox shells (retired & rare)

Some other stainless steel Victorinox Swiss Army knives:

  • Broker-- similar tools in a regular stainless steel body.
  • Director-- adds larger blade and orange peeler (retired)
  • Prince Stainless Steel-- small blade instead of scissors (retired)
  • Windsor-- similar tools in a larger body (retired)
