| DESCRIPTION |
|
The first version of the Victorinox Compact Swiss Army Knife was
a spin-off from the original Golfer knife.
It added a hook and straight pin and got a new name, while the Golfer itself
morphed into a newer version with a divot repair tool that was actually
designed for golfing.
This variation of the Compact was only in production for
about a year, when it was replaced with a slightly newer Compact knife
that used the new riveted scissors instead of a scissors screw.
The very original Compact model is extremely scarce, and it sells
at a premium price for collectors. If you just want a practical
pocket knife, get a modern Compact instead. |
