The matte version of the Victorinox Climber Swiss Army Knife is
an "economy" model that has a red matte finish, and a printed
Swiss insignia rather than an inlaid one.
This model was sold as a slightly cheaper version of the Swiss
Army knife, although the matte finish is actually more durable
than the smooth finish, and the blades and tools are of exactly
the same quality.
We sell this model for a bit less than the standard Climber,
since the insignia is not quite so classy, and this model is common
enough and recent enough that it's not likely to become a collector's
item.
NOTE-- Ironically, the originally cheaper Climber
Economy lacks a toothpick and tweezers, but it is rarer and
much more collectible. |
