The Victorinox Champion with Chisel is the second version of the second generation of the Champion Swiss Army knife. This model replaced the original version of the Champion knife, which did not have a chisel on the back.

NOTE-- All versions of the Champion knives have since been replaced by the SwissChamp (which adds pliers and a few other tools).

This model is scarce, since it was only in production for a couple of years before Victorinox added a hook to the Champion. This models sells at a premium price for collectors who want to have the entire "champion" series, or for folks who really must have that chisel without having a hook.

HINT-- If you just want a practical vintage pocket knife at a more reasonable price, get the earlier and much more common original Champion model, which is missing the chisel.

So far, we have only seen this model in red. It probably was also manufactured in black, since other versions of the Champion were.

Outdoorsman-- no metal saw (retired)
Ranger-- no fish scaler, phillips screwdriver or magnifying glass
