The smooth alox Victorinox Bantam Alox Swiss Army knife is a thinner and lighter version of the popular Bantam Swiss Army knife, with smooth aluminum shells.

So far we have only seen one example of this model. This model probably was used only for custom knives that were given out for publicity or advertising, since it's easy to print on the smooth alox shells. As far as we know, this type of Bantam knife was never produced for direct purchase.

Bantam-- plastic shells, adds a key ring, toothpick and tweezers
Bantam Alox-- same tools in a ribbed aluminum body
Bantam Alox Original-- vintage version with same tools (retired)
Bantam II Alox-- small blade instead of bottle opener
Bantam Economy-- plastic shells, adds a key ring (retired)
Bantam No Key Ring-- plastic shells, adds toothpick and tweezers (retired)

The Smooth Alox Bantam knife would probably have come in a silver alox finish, though we are not yet sure if this was ever a standard production model.

The advertising versions would have come in a variety of colors.
