The Late 1990's version of the Victorinox Angler Swiss
Army Knife is similar to the modern Angler knife, but it has
the earlier type of pliers that
don't have a crimper built into the handle.
This model would have been produced during
the late 1990's, up until the newer pliers were introduced in
2002.
NOTE-- We have not yet seen any examples
of this variation on the modern Angler knife,
and haven't seen it in any of the Victorinox catalogs. The original
Angler knife had scissors instead of pliers, and it's possible
that Victorinox didn't make the switch until after the newer
pliers were available.
