The Victorinox Alpineer Swiss Army knife is a simple but hefty locking-blade knife for pocket or backpack. It includes a one-hand "push button" blade release on the rear.

This model is the smallest and lightest of the full size Swiss Army knives (4 3/8" / 111mm). It was retired by Victorinox in 2009.

Adventurer-- No corkscrew. Adds awl, can opener, bottle opener and phillips screwdriver
Alpineer Vintage-- earlier model with grooved corkscrew
Picnicker-- Adds awl, can opener and bottle opener
Waiter-- Smaller knife (3 1/2" 91 mm) that adds a can opener

The Alpineer knife is only available in red shells.
