Wenger Wrench |
|
Some Wenger Swiss Army knives include a unique wrench which is capable of turning nuts or bolt heads between 3/16" and 3/8" in diameter (or metric sizes 5 mm to 9 mm).
The wrench includes a flat surface on one side, and a serrated surface on the other so it will grip the bolt head or nut tightly. To use the Wenger wrench to loosen or tighten a nut, simply put it into the slot of the wrench, press forward so the nut is tightly wedged, and then rotate the knife. As with pliers, the Wenger wrench can damage the surfaces of the nut, so it is best to use it during emergencies only-- when an adjustable wrench or box wrench is not available. For emergency use on larger nuts, use the pliers instead. |
