Wenger Locking Knife Blade

Some Wenger Swiss Army knives include a blade lock for the large knife blade. It prevents the blade from folding back, even if the blade wedges into the material you are cutting.

That makes the knife much safer to use, and lets you perform some tasks that would not be possible with an unlockable knife blade.

• To set the blade lock, simply open the large blade into its fully extended position.
• To close the blade, push down on the lock button and then gently pull the blade into the closed position.

Some Victorinox Swiss Army knives also include a locking blade that uses a slightly different locking mechanism.
