Some Swiss Army knives from Victorinox come with ribbed Alox aluminum shells instead of the traditional red thermoplastic shells. The ribbed finish is easy to grip, and the tough aluminum alloy stands up well to daily use and "pocket wear".
The ribbed Alox knives are much thinner and lighter than the standard knives. Some of the smaller Victorinox pocket knives come in a smooth alox finish which is even lighter. |
