Victorinox Phillips Head Screwdriver

Some Swiss Army knives include a locking, end-mounted phillips head screwdriver as one of the tools on the main side of the knife.

The screwdriver locks in two different positions, so you can use it at the end of the knife (similar to a regular screwdriver), or at right angles (similar to an offset screwdriver).

If you have a screw that is very difficult to turn, you can grip the screwdriver blade with an adjustable wrench or pliers to get more torque-- something that is not possible with a round screwdriver blade.

The smallest Victorinox Swiss Army knives with an end-mounted phillips screwdriver are the Explorer and the Spartan Lite.

Other Phillips Screwdrivers

A few of the larger Swiss Army knives include a long, thin phillips screwdriver which fits into tight spots where this tool can't reach.

Many of the smaller Victorinox Swiss Army knives include a back-mounted phillips screwdriver instead of a corkscrew.

Many Swiss Army knives that don't have an "official" phillips head blade can still work on phillips head screws in emergency. Use the small slot-head screwdriver on the end of the can opener, and force it tightly into two of the phillips head slots. It's not nearly as effective as this tool, but it will frequently get the job done.

WARNING-- Be very careful, since it's easy to slice yourself with the sharp part of the can opener while you are using it to turn a phillips head screw. It's also easy to bend the tip if you torque too hard.

The CyberTools have a bit driver which includes phillips head bits.

Some of the smaller 2 1/4" (58 mm) Swiss Army knives include a small phillips head screwdriver as part of the combination bottle opener tool.

Other Screwdrivers

Different Wenger Swiss Army knives include three different types of phillips screwdrivers-- a flat blade, a back-mounted screwdriver similar to this tool, and an end-mounted phillips screwdriver.

Leatherman tools include two different types of phillips screwdrivers-- a flat blade and a standard phillips screwdriver.
