C+ Grade Swiss Army Knives |
|
Our C+ grade used Swiss Army knives have suffered significant wear or abuse, and they may sometimes be missing entire blades. This is the lowest grade of knife that we sell on our website, and we only use it for the larger, rarer and older models. Here are some examples of flaws in grade C+ knives: Blade Scratches and Wear Many of the C+ knives show significant wear on one or more of the blades, and some of the blades may have broken tips or bent areas.
These examples are typical for a C+ knife blade. A C+ knife may have one or two blades that are partly broken, or a maximum of one blade that is completely missing. If the large blade is missing we'll drop it to a C grade knife, but if ithe small blade, can opener, bottle opener, corkscrew or awl are gone, we'll still consider it a C+ knife. Click here for more info about our grading standards for blade wear. Blade Snap Grade C+ blades will move freely, though some may give much more resistance than you'd get in a higher-grade knife, and they may not "snap" into open and closed position. Since we grade on overall knife condition, usually the C+ grade knives will have serious blade wear or reduced snap, but not both. Case Condition Some C+ knives will have cracks or gaps in the plastic shells (approximately 1/2" / 13 mm or less). They may have some serious staining, scratching or gouges. Most of the C+ knives have at least some shell damage.
