A Grade Swiss Army Knives |
|
Our A grade used Swiss Army knives are "nearly new" knives that show only a small amount of wear. They are excellent knives that show very little wear, and that will perform as well as a new knife in almost all regards. Here are some examples of conditions in A quality knives: Blade Scratches The blade condition in our A grade knives vary, but they are all in very good condition.
Most A grade knives still have their original shiny finish, with little or no signs of wear, similar to the example above.
Some may have a few scratches from use, similar to the example above. Click here for more info about our grading standards for blade wear. Blade Snap and Movement A grade knives still have excellent blade "snap". That means the blades will spring to the fully open or fully closed position with an audible click, which indicates that the blade moves freely on the springs and pivots with almost no friction. Because of the way the springs and blades are designed, some of the blades have less blade snap than others. For example, the can opener and bottle opener will usually not snap as well as the large blade. NOTE-- Because several tools share each spring, blade snap may be reduced when other tools are already open, since that reduces the spring tension. Case Scratches A grade knives will always have "pocket wear" on the plastic shells-- usually in the form of many small scratches in the nylon case. However they will not have any serious gouges, holes, cracks or gaps in the plastic shells. Click here for more info about our grading standards for shell wear. |
