Leatherman Wood Saw

Some larger Leatherman tools contain a wood saw. This saw is much larger and robust than the saws found on Victorinox and Wenger Swiss Army knives. It is also every bit as sharp, so use caution!

The wood saw works best in materials less than 2" in diameter-- we have used it to cut through a piece of 2x4 lumber (40 x 80 mm) in less than a minute.

You can use the wood saw to cut wider pieces of firewood by making two cuts in a "v" shape, and working all around the outside until it is narrow enough to snap.

HINT-- Use light pressure when using the wood saw and be careful that it doesn't bind, since it can bend at the base and eventually snap off if used with too much force.
