| The "US
REG'D TM, Leatherman Japan" Japanese PST has all of the
variations that are typical of the Japanese PST's-- big writing,
drop-point blade,
ground awl,
non-USA hinge, and angular pliers.
It is comes in between the "Leatherman
Japan" variation and the
"US REG'D TM" variation.
It has "US REG'D TM" stamped on the outside, but "Leatherman Japan"
stamped on the knife tang. We've only seen a couple of these
transitional knives.
Our guess is that this is one of the last variations of the
PST that was produced in Japan, but in the absence of dated parts,
it's
hard to be certain. |
