Leatherman PST Tool

The Leatherman PST(Personal Survival Tool) is the original multi-tool that established Leatherman's reputation as a manufacturer of quality pocket sized tools. It was introduced in 1983, and retired in 2004.

The Leatherman PST is built entirely from stainless steel-- it contains a large set of pliers (combination needle-nose, regular pliers and wire cutters), plus eight supplementary tools (4 folded into each arm of the pliers).

We sell used PST's by the year in which they were produced (according to the date stamped on the inside of the arms). You can link to pages for specific years below.

You can also order new PST tools in retired packaging, PST tools with a black oxide finish, or PST tools with a Marlboro promotional logo.

HINT--If you don't care what year your PST was produced in, just pick one at random. Most of them are fairly common, and sell for about the same price.

PST Original-- no centimeter ruler, different awl profile (retired)
PST Saber Blade-- pointier main blade (retired)
Sideclip-- no file or awl, adds attachment clip (retired & rare)
SuperTool-- adds wood saw and serrated blade, larger size (retired)

Victorinox Craftsman-- smaller pliers, adds scissors, wood saw, chisel, hook and small blade
Victorinox Mechanic-- no metal file, smaller pliers, one screwdriver, adds small blade
Victorinox SwissTool-- adds serrated blade, wood saw, separate can opener
