Other Leatherman
Multi-Tools
|
| DESCRIPTION |
| The
Leatherman PST(Personal Survival Tool) is the original
multi-tool that established Leatherman's reputation as a manufacturer
of quality pocket sized tools. It was introduced in 1983, and
retired in 2004.
This tool is no longer
made by Leatherman, but it is still frequently available in used
condition.
We list four distinct
versions of the PST--
- The original
model with a saber blade, notched awl and no centimeter
ruler (approx 1983-1987)
- The
saber blade version (approx 1987-1995)
- The standard version,
listed here (approx 1995-2004)
- The PST with scissors
(identical to the PST II but labelled as a plain PST)
The Leatherman PST is
built entirely from stainless steel-- it contains a large set
of pliers (combination needle-nose, regular pliers and wire cutters),
plus eight supplementary tools (4 folded into each arm of the
pliers).
